International artist finds painting career

The Citizen features an internationally known painter in this week’s installment of the Local Artist Series.
Ken Turner, of New Ulm, began drawing pictures with several figures early in his childhood at the age of four and grew up listening to classical music. He has been a professional artist for nearly 40 years.

'Art Walk to Remember' honors local artists, funds Alzheimer's research

"Art Walk to Remember," sponsored by the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with a walk to end Alzheimer's from 8 to 9 a.m. International artist Ken Turner, who resides in New Ulm, will showcase his work as a tribute to the late David Hickman (1937-2010).
